Roots and Wisdom offers a fun, unique summer employment
opportunity for Schenectady County youth.
If you're willing and able to work hard, get dirty,
and meet other county youth, this may be what you are looking for.
We tend our vegetables; learn about food systems,
diversity, and leadership; sell vegetables at a farmers' market;
and get to know ourselves and our neighbors better.
Applications for the 2008 Summer Growing Program are now available.
The program will run from July 7, 2008 through August 15, 2008.
Schenectady County Youth ages 14-18 are eligible to apply.
Participants are paid by the Schenectady County Youth Employment Cooperative.
All positions for the 2008 Summer Growing Program have been filled.
